I am aggravated at the way in which my fathers estate is being handled by his executor. The person appointed to settle my dads belongings, real and personal, has done virtually nothing for the last 7 months. Meanwhile, real estate is being vandalized, personal property is being stolen, cars are deteriorating, property taxes are being racked up, and late fee’s on bills are through the roof.
My question is specifically, how long do the courts allow for an estate to be settled, and what can be done about gross mismanagement of an estate in North Carolina?
