i thought one would need a background in law or something law related. what are the requirements. i though i could move into contracts management after a couple years as a paralegal in real estate but i heard all i need is experience in construction and a building or property related degre. which is right.? any suggestions. or websites that might heip???

But being a paralegal in r.e. would be GREAT experience, to prepare for the contracts management. Think if you were building a multi billion dollar concept, what kind of background you’d like your contracts administrator to have.
If you need a job without a degree, you also could work in an architecture firm as an assistant or office manager, to get more exposure to contracts law.

Feb 05, 09 at 11:51 ammost site managers and contract managers come from engineering backgrounds usually civil engineers. you need construction experience first and all your relevant paperwork. i work in construction and dont really have much contact with the site managers so i’m not 100 percent sure about which qualifications are needed
