My real estate attorney is requesting that I do some ‘big time’ lying to benefit me financially "???????

On November 11, 2009 / By Real Estate Law Help / In Real-Estate-Attorneys

Is this common??? The defendant will not be showing up to court, nor any represenative of theirs. My attorney will be making a lot of money and so would I. I dont want the money, however, I have a business partner who befriended the attorney, and I owe my partner some money, and they are acting like it is just a one time thing. I feel guilty and wrong about this. Why doesnt my attorney??
PS: I also understand that I will be under oath and that there are other precautions to take, however I have been through this process before, but have never had to do the lying that he and my partner are requesting me to do.

Wow, modern ethics practically encourages lying! Good for you for having a conscience! Stand up for the truth and live in good conscience.

Just sounds like you are a responsible, moral person with a conscious. Unlike your partner and the attorney. This says a lot about all of you if you think about it. Don’t do anything that makes you uncomfortable. There is a reason you feel unsure about lying…because you know its wrong!
