What does Colorado Real Estate Law say regarding once you have a contract on a home, can they continue to show

On August 8, 2008 / By Real Estate Law Help / In Colorado-Real-Estate-Law

I am under contract on a home, we have put in an inspection report we know find out that they are showing the home this weekend and may be taking a back up contract. Can they do that without that being put into the ocntract and all knowing that it is still being shown?

I suppose if they want to continue to show the home, they would be able to. It doesn’t affect you, since you have the contract.

If somebody else has nothing but time on their hands and wants to write up a ‘backup’ contract, there is no reason not to. Again, it doesn’t affect you, just ignore it and go through with your purchase.

it isn’t just Colorado. Until your "closing" the house isn’t yours and they can continue to show, because many, many times houses under contract "falls through" and then they have back up buyers.
